The Boys 400 Freestyle Relay moved up four spots and finished 23rd overall. The relay team consisted of freshman Ryan Mondoro, sophomore Erik Babka, and juniors Gavin Kriebel and John Carr.

"The boys went the exact same time they went at districts with a 3:14.21," said Head Coach Kevin Golebiewski. "Next season they have their eyes set on breaking the school record of 3:13.00 set back in 2011."

The Girls 200 Freestyle Relay moved up three spots to finish 14th overall, and the Girls 400 Freestyle Relay moved up four posts and finished 19th overall. The four girls who swam on the relay were juniors Sammy Moore, Maddie Mondoro, and Carolyn Forgione, plus ninth grader Ellie Coyle.

"The best part is that all eighth swimmers who competed this past weekend will be returning next season and hopefully move up to the medal rounds," said Coach Golebiewski.

The team also sent four divers to the state meet — the most in school history. On the girl's side, Riley Kiernan placed 20th. The boys included Morgan Hulitt (18th overall), Jed Alderfer (19th overall), and Austin Alderfer (21st overall).

Diving Coach David Stewart noted that, while the outcome wasn't what they had hoped, it was still a good experience for the team. "They gained a better understanding of the state meet and a knowledge of what they need to do to be part of the top ten divers in the state," said Coach Stewart. "The divers look forward to the opportunity to compete in future seasons at this level."

Jed Alderfer, the lone senior competing at the event for the Colonials, will be moving on to West Chester University where he plans to work toward a teaching degree and dive for the Golden Rams.
