Plymouth Whitemarsh High School's FBLA members qualify for national competition
Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) were successful at the State Leadership Conference in Hershey this month, with two students eligible to move on to represent the high school at the national conference in San Antonio this summer.
Kevin DiMarco and Tyler Yuen, both 10th-graders, are the first PW students to qualify for nationals in 10 years. They competed in the category of Graphic Design. Another 10th-grade duo, Leah Caucci and Quinn Burns, finished 12th in the state in the category of Intro to Social Media Strategies.
PW brought a sizable team to the state competition, which was held April 15. Students had to qualify for the state competition based on their performance at the regional competition that was held earlier in the year at Upper Dublin Public Library.
In addition to the teams listed above, these students also qualified for states:
- Jake Beniaminovitz, Isaiah Greenidge and Jackson Harron: Entrepreneurship
- William Chernov-Gitin: Intro to Business Concepts
- Jack Jingoli and Brandon Wooldridge: Management Information Systems
- Aiden McFetridge: Intro to Parliamentary Procedures
- Ryan Licwinko: Accounting
- Andrew Collopy: Advanced Accounting
