Colonial Middle School raises over $1,000 to support Best Buddies Friendship Walk
Colonial Middle School has raised over $1,000 to contribute to the Best Buddies Friendship Walk, thanks to a collaboration between the middle school Best Buddies chapter and staff members’ willingness to “eat more chicken.”
Chick-Fil-A donated 150 chicken sandwiches to be sold to teachers and staff on April 13. Teachers Ansley Dawidziuk and Melanie Sherer organized the event so staff could pay what they wanted for their sandwiches to support the middle school team. The team will be going to the April 19th Friendship Walk at the King of Prussia Mall and is raising funds to participate. Along with raising funds, the sandwich celebration was a way for students to practice their interpersonal skills by organizing orders and making deliveries throughout the building.
The East Norriton Chick-Fil-A also donated 10 percent of sales for anyone using the “Best Buddies Club” reference while dining at the restaurant on April 14.
