Our Principals
Eileen Carr, Principal
Ms. Eileen Carr is the principal at Ridge Park Elementary School.
Prior to joining Colonial, Ms. Carr served as principal of the Shawmont School, a K-8 school in Roxborough and was selected as a Neubauer Fellow for the 2015-2016 school year. Neubauer Fellows are select, high-performing principals who demonstrate competency in setting a school-wide vision, create a school culture that develops and engages staff, focus on student achievement, identify instructional practices and more.
Ms. Carr holds a B.S. from Temple University and a M.Ed. from Arcadia University. She earned her Principal Certification at Cheyney University.
David Caruso
Mr. David Caruso serves as the Assistant Principal at Ridge Park Elementary School. He began his career in Colonial as a fourth grade teacher at Colonial Elementary School and later an Instructional Technology Teacher at Ridge Park. Before moving into administration, he helped develop and design technology curriculum, created elementary science assessments that align with state and national standards, and was honored as a Master Teacher. He currently belongs to the districtwide Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging team.
"I am inspired by the incredible students I get to see grow and flourish," said Mr.Caruso. "The success of our students at Ridge Park continues to provide me with my inspiration to be the best educational leader that I can be."
Mr. Caruso earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from West Chester University, a Masters in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Cabrini University.
A opportunity to hold assistant swim coach position at his local swim club when Mr. Caruso was young inspired him to go into teaching. Outside of school, he continues to pursue this love of coaching by volunteering with youth basketball, baseball, flag football, and soccer teams.
